1. Kingprince by Cassino I've been waiting for this album for about 2 years. It seriously did not disappoint. The new versions of The Gin War and The Ice Factory are beautiful, and I immediately fell in love with "The River," another very strong closing track. Nick Torres' lyrics get better and better, and I really enjoy the southern, folksy twist in this incarnation of Cassino. However, this album's all instrumental track ("Debrickashaw") doesn't quite live up to "Dust Went Flying" on the first album.

2. Brand New Eyes by Paramore While I originally criticized this album for not being as "exciting" as RIOT!, it's seriously grown on me and if it weren't for my obsession with Cassino, this would definitely have had my top spot. This album is an amazing step up from their last and there isn't a song I don't like.
Favorite Tracks: "Turn It Off," "Where The Lines Overlap," "Careful"

3. The Keys to Cat Heaven - This Is My Suitcase This album actually has meowing in the lyrics. Sold!
Favorite Tracks: "Welcome to Cat Heaven," "LOVE," "Jesusfreak"

4. This Will Be The Death of Us - Set Your Goals This year was dominated by pop punk for me, emphasizing the punk part. This album definitely got me through winter finals, and I really only wonder why it took me so long to jump on the SYG bandwagon. Hayley Williams' part on "The Few That Remain" leaves something to be desired, but on the whole the vocals are spot on and this album just never stops kicking.
Favorite Tracks: "Summer Jam," "This Will Be the Death of Us," "Like You to Me"

5. New Again - Taking Back Sunday After the complete fail that was "Louder Now," this album completely blew me out of the water. It has a few low points, but on the whole it's definitely one of the greater TBS albums to date.
Favorite Tracks: "Sink Into Me," "New Again," "Swing"

6. Here, Here and Here - Meg & Dia My love for Meg&Dia is no secret. I love female vocalists. And while this album has fewer songs based on literature (which I loved), it's an amazing work of pop musicianry. Now if only they can learn to stick to the recorded arrangements when they perform live...
Favorite Tracks: "Going Away," "Here, Here and Here," "Black Wedding"

7. Gold Motel EP - Gold Motel Greta Salpeter. That's really all that needs to be said. This EP is only so far down on the list because it just came out on Friday, and it isn't a full length so it can't really compete. Also because it isn't the Hush Sound.
Favorite Tracks: "The Cruel One," "Don't Send the Searchlights"

8. When I Hit The Ground - Ace Enders and a Million Different People I've loved everything that Ace has done, and this is obviously not an exception. This is a very sonically pleasing album, while admittedly not breaking any ground, and can only indicate great things coming from the Enders camp.
Favorite Tracks: "Reaction," "SOS," "The Only Thing I Have"

9. Daisy - Brand New It really would have been impossible for this album to live up to my expectations. It doesn't help that my tastes are moving far away from screaming and dissonance. Still a remarkable album, just not my ideal.

10. All I Have To Offer is My Own Confusion - Fireworks Again, this was a big pop punk year for me. Fireworks are a really legit band and I wish there were more like them out there in the world. Great trademark-pop-punk-nasal vocals and a step up from their previous EP. Plus how can I not love a band with a song called "I Support Same Sex Marriage"?
